I've purchased a lot of special or limited edition boxes of all sorts over the last few years (Japanese mini LP's, special LP boxes, DVD collections, entire discopgraphies on CD neatly wrapped in nicely designed boxes including loads of extra stuff & gadgets & gizmo's and so on..) but this one beats them all. By far the most beautiful I own now. Well worth the waiting. Extremely well worth its price!

The Open Edition of Colour Sound Oblivion is now available. The only differences from the Advance Edition are that the 4 Costume Fabric bags (which were a nightmare ,-) have been replaced by a Face Cloth embroidered in white with Coil's Final Lyric IT JUST IS...
...As well as a bar of fragrant handmade soap, in cream suffused with blood red, hand stampedwith the words IT'S IN MY BLOOD...

These are ready to go now, and will be in the store as soon as they an update. The price will be the same as the Advance Edition except that the shipping charges will be more accurate, and since they are being sent individually, the value will be declared as less than before.
Also for "Completists" we will be making a small and inexpensive "TopUp Kit" which will feature the few items in the Regular Edition - The CSO mirror (loose so you can put it on bedroom door or notebook cover!) the white embroidered IT JUST IS Face Cloth, and the ITS IN MY BLOOD soap, that are not in the Advance Editons, as well as a signed Dedication Card, for those who forgot to ask for one first time around.
So far about 20 people have reported playback problems with CSO-16 the Coil Reconstruction Kit Part 2. At first I thought the problem might be to do with manufacturing and sent out some replacement copies from the first pressing, however some of the people who received their replacements already report the new discs as having the same problem, so its more likely an encoding issue.
They play fine in all the dvd machines and computers I have here, but my machines are all relatively new.
If you are having this problem it could be to do with the no-menu style of design / encoding of all the discs in the box, which is supposed to auto-play on disc insertion. Or it could be to do with your machine's memory attempting to resume play from last insertion. Most likely the former, I think.
I have asked the boffins at the factory to see if they can figure out why this disc in particular is different from the rest, but in the mean time, if your disc will load into the your machine at all (ie show a clock on the display but no picture, try selecting any number from your go-to-chapter-number function - which on Sony machines at least is reachable via the Display Button of your remote (or in the Apple DVD player app reachable by moving the cursor to the top of the screen). If you are able to select either a track (there should be two - the titles, and the projections part two edit), or any of the chapters, so they play, you should then be able to skip chapters in both directions, and thus see all the films. Hopefully this workaround may help some people.

We live in a world run by the principle of Free Trade - If you want to sell your box on ebay that's up to you (I think the price of one box was up to $700 last time I looked) but Caveat Empor (Buyer Beware!) - A Friend of Threshold House will be be putting 5 boxes from the Advance Edition, numbers 666, 777, 888, 999 & 1000 on ebay, one at a time, starting in a few days. The Profit from these auctions will go towards the Memorial Fund for Geff/Jhonn Balance. If you are feeling flush, and fancy treating yourself or Someone Special to a Special Box with a very Special Number, and would like at the same time to contribute to Geff's (Jhonn Balance's) Memoral at the same time, bid on one of these, rather than providing profit for someone just in it for the cash. (Also, you don't have to bid to contribute - just click on the Memorial Fund link, and you can donate whatever you want there...)
Though 99.5% of people report being very happy and excited by CSO and its contents, a very small number of boxes seem to be spontaneously disintegrating on arrival - Obviously this may result in traumatic stress so I thought I'd better warn you... If this happens to you DON'T PANIC.
If you feel up to a bit of Coil Reconstruction you already have the Kit! :-)
I assume there must have been one glue pot at the factory that was not up to scratch, with disastrous consequences, for which I apologize unreservedly!
What is called for is some good old fashioned Elmers wood glue or something equally reliable! If you are able to make your own repairs you have my permission to look your friends in the eye and honestly say "Oh yes, I put that together for Sleazy"! LOL though if not, I quite understand and will be happy to send a replacement, free-of-charge by regular mail. All the boxes remaining here seem to be thoroughly solid! Just send me a picture of the "unpleasantness"with the number showing so I can check your address..
Likewise, if any have problems with playback of specific dvds (about 6 people have reported difficulties of one sort or another with CSO-16, for example) just write to me and I'll send out a replacement.
As of this moment I am waiting for a delivery of some special Equipment I plan to use not only on the prevously mentioned TIME MACHINES II - The Legacy (not necessarily the final title ,-)- Incidentally I am fully expecting to have to pay as much as $1000 dollars in Customs Duty (but the Thai Government DO need the money! :-) but the New Toys are also for use on the completion of TG's version of Nico's Desertshore album due for release next Spring...
Also PacMan - my Thai computer / web-genius, is figuring out how to make www.unklesleazy.tv into a workable "members only" site that comes bundled free immediately on the purchase of an amulet/flash drive, which contains full HD versions of all sorts of films from my past and present, music, life, THBC shows, Wierd Scenes Inside the Gold Mine. These will be FULL HD 1080p on the flash drive (where the original warrents it) but somewhat smalerl and therefore quicker streams on the website, which will also be updated regularly with films of me rehearsing for forthcoming shows, wandering through dodgy neighborhoods in the rain etc.
Feel free to check it out, but it's still in development...
While "Form Grows Rampant" - the dvd by The Threshold HouseBoys Choir was something of a transitional work, spanning both music, film, and me starting to think about other things, my new website Sacred-Profane is all about my work, Ancient and Modern, that is not related to music as such.
Special Pictures, Objects that may became devotional even though not strictly religious, Items of Power, Vision, Protection, Encouragement - even, we hope, a regular HD Podcast "Evenings with Unkle Sleazy" which will have some music but also other sounds and visions which I hope will take you to the same kind of place that Coil used to do, but in a new way, one that has real Value, both to you and me, in this Age of Worthlessness we have made for ourselves.

So, no great change in the world's financial crisis, even though it's nearly a year since we updated this website - Maybe they'll start calling it a "War On Crisis" soon, and it will be just as meaningless or useless as the War on Terror, or the War on Drugs, come to that. I have relocated from my previous Apocalypse Now Compound to a more modest and affordable rental, but though beautiful and quiet (except for the Howling of the Dogs) it's in kind of a "wrong side of the tracks" neighbourhood, so various ragged charecters, artful dodgers etc. can often be found lurking in the shadows - And that's just my Staff!
In fact, last year's New Year's card is just as apt!
But if it's cards you want, go to Sacred-Profane...
